Wineport four star hotel in Westmeath is situated between the
villages of Ballykeeran and Glasson on the lakeshore
(low) road.
Directions from Dublin:
Take Exit 7 marked N4 Sligo/Galway off the M50.
Continue on M4 motorway.
Leave M4@Junction11 for M6.
Continue on M6 for about 50 miles.
Take Exit 9 marked N55 Cavan.
Take last exit at next roundabout.
After 1 mile to Ballykeeran Village fork left
at Dog and Duck Pub.
Wineport is 1 mile on the left hand side.
Directions from Galway/Ballinasloe/Roscommon:
Take the M6 direction Dublin. Take Exit 10 N55
Cavan/Longford. Drive in this direction for about
3 miles to Ballykeeran village. Fork left at the
Dog & Duck pub. Wineport is 1 mile on the
left hand side.
Directions from Athlone
town centre:
From the centre of Athlone take the N55 for Cavan/Longford.
Drive in this direction for about 3 miles to Ballykeeran
village. Fork left at the Dog & Duck pub.
Wineport is 1 mile on the left hand side.
Directions from Longford/Ballymahon:
Take the N55 to Glasson village. Drive through
the village and take a sharp right at the Athlone
end of the village. Wineport is 1 mile on the
right hand side.
Directions by Water:
Wineport is situated on the Inner Lakes on the
east shore of Lough Ree on the opposite side of
the lake to Hodson Bay Hotel. Enter the Inner
Lakes through the black and red navigation marks
south of Hare Island and leave Quigley’s
Marina on the left.Cruise east along Killinure
Lough to the harbour at Ballykeeran. North of
the harbour is Portaneena Private Marina and Wineport’s
Jetty is to the north of this and to the north-east
of Temple Island.
